Joshua Gans holds the Jeffrey S. Skoll chair in technical innovation and entrepreneurship and is a professor of strategic management at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. He also holds a cross-appointment in the department of economics at the University of Toronto. He serves as chief economist of the Creative Destruction Lab. He’s co-author of Prediction Machines: The Simple Economics of Artificial Intelligence (HBR Press, 2018) and Innovation + Equality: How to Create a Future That Is More Star Trek Than Terminator (The MIT Press, 2019)
