1998 Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards
— Call for Nominations Ends, May 22, 1998

TORONTO, April 6, 1998   —  The Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the 1998 Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. The deadline is May 22, 1998.

The Awards are an annual initiative of the University of Toronto Rotman School. This unique program recognizes outstanding women entrepreneurs and is consistent with the Rotman School's goal to develop and recognize Canadian business leaders. These women provide a strong example to business and community leaders and Canadian youth alike. Previous years' recipients have gone on to be recognized by other Awards programs, selected for corporate boards and participation on private/public sector task forces.

Awards will be given in six categories in 1998:

  • Start-Up
  • Lifetime Achievement
  • Quality Plus
  • Impact on Local Economy
  • International Competitiveness
  • Turnaround
