ROTMAN SCHOOL MOVES FORWARD WITH NEW DEAN AND NEW VISION
U OF T MANAGEMENT SCHOOL AIMS TO BECOME TOP TEN IN THE WORLD

TORONTO - The Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto officially introduces Dean Roger L. Martin and his bold new vision at a special open house for the Rotman School community on Thursday. Martin intends to transform Canada's best business school into one of the top ten business schools in the world.

"My mandate is to create a learning environment where students are immersed in a demanding, innovative management curriculum, taught by an internationally distinguished business school faculty," says Martin who believes Canada must have a top business school to meet the challenges of global competition.

Martin, a former director of Monitor Company, an international strategy consulting firm based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, joined the Rotman School on September 1.

The event will be held on Thursday, December 3 at the Rotman School of Management, 105 St. George Street, Toronto in the Fleck Atrium from 4:30 - 6:30 pm with remarks by Roger Martin at approximately 5:00 pm.

The event will also launch the Rotman School's new graphic identity, conceived by Toronto designer Bruce Mau, which reconciles the dual nature of the Rotman School, at once rooted in the traditions of a great university, and yet centred in leading edge research and thinking.
