Rotman School Appoints Business Education Veteran
to Lead MBA Programs

TORONTO, June 18, 2002 -- A new director of MBA programs with extensive experience in the field of business education has been appointed at the University of Toronto's Joseph L. Rotman School of Management. Gary Lindblad joins the Rotman School on July 1 as Assistant Dean and Executive Director of the School's Full-Time, Part-Time and combined MBA Programs.

"We are pleased to have Gary join the Rotman team and believe that he is uniquely qualified to lead our MBA team at a time of unprecedented growth in our MBA programs," says Dean Roger Martin.

Previously, Lindblad was Assistant Dean and Director, MBA Programs, at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, where he also taught the capstone course in the Full-Time Program. Between 1992 and 1998, he served as Associate Director, Executive and Fully Employed MBA Programs, at the Anderson Graduate School of Management, University of California, Los Angeles.

Lindblad holds an Ed.D. and M.A. from the Graduate School of Education and Information Studies, University of California, Los Angeles. He also has extensive experience in the development and implementation of leadership outreach programs at the undergraduate level from his work as Director of Student Ministries at Biola University in La Mirada, California.
