TORONTO, June 9, 2000 --
A desire to learn about global strategic management brings a
class of Executive MBA students from Taiwan for the first time to the
University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management from June 12 - 16. The
23 students, from Taiwan's National Central University, will participate in
a customized one-week executive program taught by a combination of Rotman
School faculty and outstanding business leaders. As part of their learning
experience in Canada, students will visit two of Canada's most successful
corporations - Nortel Networks and RBC Dominion Securities - providing
direct exposure to North American business operations.
Media are welcome to attend an Opening Reception for the program at 5:00 pm on
Monday, June 12 in the CIBC Room, 3rd Floor, Rotman School of Management,
105 St. George Street. Please call (416) 946-3818 to confirm your attendance.
"National Central University's desire to enter into a partnership with us
demonstrates that the quality and innovative nature of our programs and
faculty are recognized internationally," says Dan Ondrack, academic
director of executive programs and professor of organizational behaviour.
This partnership builds on a similar program that provides a global
education module for the one-year Executive MBA program at the Business
School São Paulo for International Management (BSP). The partnership with
BSP brings approximately 160 Brazilian students to the Rotman School every
year.
