Last Call for Nominations for the 2002 Rotman Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards
TORONTO, June 3, 2002 -- It's not too late to nominate an outstanding woman entrepreneur for the 2002 Rotman Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. The deadline for nominations is June 7, 2002. To nominate an entrepreneur, please visit www.cweya.com or call 1-800-354-3303.
To date, more than 1500 women have been nominated and 60 women entrepreneurs have been honored in the following five Awards categories: Start-Up, Innovation, Impact on Local Economy, Export and Lifetime Achievement.
The Awards are an annual initiative of the University of Toronto's Joseph L. Rotman School and are presented by Bank of Montreal.
A candidate for these Awards must own a profitable business registered and operating in Canada for three full years as of May 30, 2002 (not a franchise), earn her primary income from this business and is responsible for its day-to-day management. Ownership is defined as having been a founder of the business and owning or controlling the majority of the voting shares.
The Awards are presented by Bank of Montreal in partnership with Export Development Canada, Ford Motor Company of Canada Limited, National Post and National Post Business Magazine, Business Development Bank of Canada, Chatelaine and Profit Magazines, and supported by Ireland + Associates, Deloitte & Touche, Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP, Industry Canada and Tiffany & Co.
