Marketing and Communications Leader Appointed at Rotman School.
TORONTO - Kate Eccles has joined the Rotman School as Assistant Dean, Marketing & Communications. Previously, she was the Manager for Campaign Communications at the University of Toronto where she played a key role in the overall strategic direction, planning, and implementation of the "Great Minds for a Great Future" communication initiative.
Among other communication and marketing tasks, Eccles will be responsible for the promotion and implementation of the Rotman School's new graphic identity, conceived by Toronto designer Bruce Mau. The design reconciles the dual nature of the Rotman School, at once rooted in the traditions of a great university, and yet centered in leading edge research and thinking. She will also be responsible for marketing Dean Roger Martin's bold new vision for business education. Martin intends to transform Canada's best business school into one of the top ten business schools in the world.
Eccles has previously worked at B.C.'s Children's Hospital in Vancouver and MacLaren:Lintas Advertising in Toronto. She is a graduate of the University of Toronto.
Located in the heart of Canada's business community, the Rotman School of Management provides management education programs aimed at creating the next wave of business leaders. Programs offered include the Toronto MBA, Executive MBA, Master of Management and Professional Accounting, and Bachelor of Commerce. The School also provides a series of short-term and customized programs aimed to the current needs of businesses and individual managers.
