The Brazilians Are Coming! The Brazilians Are Coming! Brazilian Executive MBA Students Arrive at Toronto's Rotman School.

TORONTO - The first of four classes of Brazilian Executive MBA students to study this year at the Rotman School of Management arrives Sunday in Toronto. The students, all from the Business School Sào Paulo for International Management (BSP), are enrolled in "Managing In a Global Economy", a customized 10-day executive education program designed to teach North American perspectives on global management.

This is the fifth year the Brazilian students have come to Rotman to participate in the special program, which is taught by a combination of Rotman School faculty and outstanding business leaders. As part of their learning experience in Canada, the Brazilians visitors will visit some of Canada's most successful corporations, providing direct exposure to North American business operations. The first class has scheduled visits to Nortel, Canada Life and Dominion Securities.

"With the unprecedented pace of change occurring in today's global economy, managers who are able to anticipate needs, develop sound strategies and implement them smoothly are essential players in sustaining competitive advantage. The Rotman School is a leader in providing innovative programs that provide the skills necessary for success in the global economy, "says Michael Hartmann, director of Rotman's Executive Development Programs. "We are pleased that our exciting partnership with BSP continues to grow. Not only do Brazilian students benefit from their experience in this program as they are able to bring the real-world experience of the North American context back to their firms, the entire Rotman community is enriched by the interaction with our guests, who provide new and exciting perspectives for us as well."

The Business School Sào Paulo for International Management (BSP) offers internationally recognized MBA, Executive MBA and Executive Development Programs. The BSP Executive MBA is a one-year degree taught in English for Brazilian executives. The 10-day Rotman program is an integral part of the degree. The next group from BSP arrives in Toronto June 20 and two more groups are scheduled for later this year.

The Rotman School of Management continues to be a leader in management education with a long-standing international reputation for teaching and research excellence. In addition to programs for students including the Rotman MBA, Rotman offers a suite of highly-focused executive programs for senior managers including short-term courses and the Rotman Executive MBA.
