The Chair of the Government¹s Technical Committee on Business Taxation, Prof. Jack Mintz of Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, will be available to brief reporters on the Committee¹s report, which has been released in Ottawa today. The Committee, which was established by Finance Minister Paul Martin in 1996, recommends a major overhaul of the business taxation system in Canada.

Prof. Mintz will be available in his office at the U of T from 4:30 pm onwards for interviews. This is his only availability on Monday. He will also be available Tuesday in Toronto, and Wednesday and Thursday in Edmonton.
