Rotman Magazine Nominated for National Magazine Award

Toronto, May 4, 2012 – Rotman Magazine, the magazine of the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management, is one of five magazines nominated for "Best Single Issue" of 2011 in the 2012 National Magazine Awards, which honours the best in Canadian magazines.

Rotman Magazine was nominated for its Spring 2011 issue, which focused on "Undiscussables" and featured articles by Dean Roger Martin, Rotman Profs. Maria Rotundo, Becky Reuber, Jennifer Berdahl, Stephane Cote and Francesco Bova; Harvard Business School's Amy Edmonson and Max Bazerman, as well as interviews with Marshall Goldsmith and Microsoft Canada CEO Eric Gales.

Also nominated for Best Single Issue were Canadian Geographic ("Protecting Our Water"); Maclean's ("Our Biggest Issue Ever"); Up Here ("The North Poll, May 2011"); and Urbania ("Gros").

This was Rotman Magazine's second nomination in this category; it was also nominated in 2010 for its Fall 2009 "Accountability" issue. In 2009, the Magazine won the silver National Magazine Award for "Art Direction for a Single Issue" for its winter 2008 issue, "Thinking About Thinking."
