The Rotman School of Management invites applications for teaching assistant positions. All positions are on the St. George Campus.
On the start date of the appointment, you must be registered as a University of Toronto student or Postdoctoral Fellow. Otherwise, you are not eligible to apply to Unit #1 positions.
2024 Summer Term (May - August) | Review Tutor (Emergency Posting) | RSM1250 Sec 07, 08 (MEMBA) | Managing Customer Value (MCV)
Description: Roles may vary per course. Direction given by faculty. Duties may include: a) Review sessions and/or; b) Office Hours and/or; c) Small Group or Individual Tutoring.
Qualification: Preference is granted to students registered in the School of Graduate Studies who have successfully finished the course within the program time, achieving a final course grade of A+ or A. Dedication to collaborative learning and academic assistance is valued. Additionally, a degree of adaptability is necessary to accommodate varying class schedules, and term workload (e.g., more demand for tutoring in last half of course). Please submit short entry (roughly 100 words) highlighting your qualifications and reasons for applying. Previous experience is the more relevant criterion than the need to acquire experience in respect of this posted position.

The minimum hourly rate shall be:
January 1, 2024 $ 51.93 plus 4% vacation pay
January 1, 2025 $ 52.97 plus 4% vacation pay
January 1, 2026 $ 53.92 plus 4% vacation pay

Preference in hiring shall be given to Graduate Students enrolled in the School of Graduate Studies of the University of Toronto or those who have made application to be enrolled in the School of Graduate Studies of the University of Toronto.

The hiring criteria for Teaching Assistant positions are academic qualifications, the need to acquire experience, previous experience, and previous satisfactory employment under the provisions of this collective agreement.
