Dean comments on 2010 Bloomberg BusinessWeek MBA Rankings

Today Bloomberg BusinessWeek has published its bi-annual ranking of international and U.S. business schools. For the second ranking in a row we have placed 8th in the ranking of international business schools. The results are based on a survey of Rotman MBA graduates in 2010, 2008 and 2006, a survey of our corporate recruiters in those same years and an intellectual capital category which is a review of faculty research from the past five years.

I am very pleased with our first place ranking in the corporate poll and our third place result in the intellectual capital category. Number one globally among corporations is pretty gratifying and shows that the business community values our students and the ranking of third in intellectual capital demonstrates that our strategy of winning on differentiated content is working.

I realize, however, that we still have work to do to improve our results in the graduate poll. We are continuing to strengthen all the resources offered to our students by the CCC and other areas, and will continue to work with our students to improve their experience here.

The results are now online at www.businessweek.com/business-schools/ and will appear in the magazine which will be available tomorrow.
